Membership in the Order of Glaucus
Membership in the Order of Glaucus is both a commitment and an opportunity.
Members play an active role in preserving Gulf Coast Carnival traditions while contributing meaningfully to the community throughout the year.
To ensure full participation in each Carnival season, applications and final dues payments for new and returning members are due by June 1. Annual membership supports the planning and execution of Carnival events, philanthropic initiatives, and year-round organizational activities.
Service is a core expectation of membership. Each member completes a minimum of 12 approved service hours during the Order of Glaucus' fiscal year. These hours are fulfilled through organized volunteer opportunities coordinated by Glaucus’ Philanthropy Chair, ensuring members have consistent and meaningful ways to give back.
A designated portion of membership dues directly supports the Glaucus Harbor Foundation, an organization that funds annual scholarships and charitable efforts benefiting the local community.
Membership in the Order of Glaucus is ideal for individuals seeking connection, leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to something larger than themselves—both during Carnival season and beyond.

OG Leadership
The Order of Glaucus Council is comprised of six elected members who work diligently to ensure that Glaucus continues to grow and succeed. Each year, committed members of the Krewe are also elected to serve as Ball, Parade, and Philanthropy Captains, bringing the Krewe's integral events and activities to life.
